With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Helen I. Michelsen of Earlville, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 9, 2025 at the age of 84. She was predeceased by: her parents, Levi Borden and Vida M. Hendrix (Britton); her daughter Brenda Skinner; her great grandchild Levi Bohnstedt; her grandson Jonathan Brown; and her siblings, Janet Clowers, Jacob and Francis Hendrix.
She is survived by: her husband David Michelsen; her daughter Rhonda Hunt of Asheville, NC; her grandchildren, Kristen Bohnstedt (Robert) of Sandwich, IL, Katie Brown of Asheville, NC and Zachary Skinner; and her sister Dorothy "JoAn" Batistini. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Earlville United Methodist Church (313 Stilson St, Earlville, IL 60518). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
