It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John A. Barnerd of East Alton, Illinois, born in Alton, Illinois, who passed away on December 26, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Abner Allen and Patricia Barnerd (Coughlin); his son Michael Ringering; and his sister Jo Alice Saenz. He is survived by : his wife Judith Morgando; and his children, John Barnerd (Amy), Patricia Tomerlin (Jay) and Jacqueline Williams.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Family Hospice of Belleville and/or East Alton History Museum.
