We are sad to announce that on May 19, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Robert Angleton of East Alton, Illinois. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Pauline L. Angleton and Shewmake; and his siblings, Paula Gentry, Terry and David Angleton.
He is survived by: his wife Debra Jo Angleton (Chamness) of East Alton; his son Matthew Angleton (Katie) of Alton; his granddaughter Hazel; and his sister-in-law Carolyn Angleton of Wood River. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Paynic Home For Funerals (618 E Airline Dr, East Alton, IL 62024). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (1802 Madison Ave, Edwardsville, IL 62025). The inurnment was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at the Rose Lawn Memory Gardens (10 Erwin Plegge Blvd, Bethalto, IL 62010).
Memorials in his honor may be made to the Bob Angleton Youth Scholarship Fund, which is through the Village of East Alton Park & Recreation and provides an opportunity to play sports to underprivileged kids in the community.
