He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Harry and Hattie Voorhees (Armstrong); his wife Ruth Boker; his son Mitchell Voorhees; and his siblings, Donald, Jr. Voorhees (Eileen), Shirley Goss (Wally), Eugene Voorhees (Loraine), Clifford Voorhees (Helen), Herschel Voorhees (Maxine), Leon Voorhees and Nadine Voorhees.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Voorhees of Florida, Jan Poore of Rosewood Heights, Stephen Voorhees of Wood River, Michael Voorhees (Ricci) of Rosewood Heights and Susan Chapman (Rob) of Godfrey; and his grandchildren, Ashley Hatcher (Paul), Tom Poore (Traci), Mychal Anne Voorhees, Jaymie Voorhees (Michael Munroe), Laura Voorhees, Emily McCall and Jenna Clausen-Voorhees. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church.
