He was predeceased by: his parents, Norbert Koppes and Eloise Koppes (Klinkenberg); his wife Carol Glesne-Koppes; his sisters, Sherry Brimeyer and Dianna Morrow; his nephew Lee Morrow; his in-laws, Gayle Koppes and Tim Peterson; and his close friend Jack Bennett (Benny).
He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Klauer (Rob) and Amy Becker (Brian); his grandchildren, Robbie Klauer of Dubuque, Lauren Klauer of Dubuque, Ava of Dubuque, Cole of Dubuque and Leah Becker of Dubuque; his stepson Alan Glesne (Judy); his stepgrandson Vance Glesne; and his siblings, Dave Koppes of Loveland, CO., Wayne Koppes of Bucksport, ME., Billie Meyer of Cedar Rapids and Debra Peterson of Dubuque. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Midtown Marina (285 5th St, East Dubuque, IL 61025).
