He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Appel and Elsie Appel (Rapp); and his brother John. He is survived by: his wife Gini (Beck); his daughters, Lisa Appel and Kristi Alvarado (Manny); and his grandchildren, River and Liliana Alvarado.
A memorial fund has been established in Jim's honor.
