She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Paar and Gwendolyn Paar (Elliott); her former husband Claire Phillips; her husband Leonard Winter; her son Michael Winter; her siblings, Barb Weis, Dianna Digmann and Dennis Paar; and her brothers-in-law, Bill Weis, Ellsworth "Bud" and Dennis Phillips.
She is survived by: her children, Gwen Meyer (Rob) of Dubuque, John Winter (Sheri) of North Charleston, SC and Jodi Winter (Steve Neuhaus) of Dubuque; her daughter-in-law Connie Winter of Coldwater, MI; her grandchildren, Zach Winter (Lindsay), Jackie Winter (Vic), Skylar DeVenezia (Adam), Brittany Hubbard (Jake), Cheyenne Bryam (Dillon), Sierra Winter, Connor Winter, Aiden Meyer and Alaina Winter; her great grandchildren, Evan, Mikaila, Sawyer Winter, Xion, Dante Klein and Eliyanah Wooley; and her siblings-in-law, Karen Paar, Blaine and Blaire Phillips (Betty). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Furlong Funeral Chapel (100 Caroldon Ct, Galena, IL 61036). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
