He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Sr. Sertle and Corrine Sertle (Knautz); his brothers, Dan, Max Jr. and John Sertle; his nephew Nick Pieper; and his niece Jennifer Nolan.
He is survived by: his son Jestin Sertle (Gerry Lou) of East Dubuque; his grandchildren, Jestin Jr., Eben, Gavin, Aspen and Karin Sertle; his sisters, Paula Soppe (Philip) of Galena, Patty Nolan (Bob) of Galena, Jackie Frank (David) of Galena and JoAnn Woodall of Clearwater, FL; and his sister-in-law Ann Sertle of Galena. He is also survived by numerous nieces, and nephews.
