David Swanson Obituary

We announce the death of David Swanson of East Dundee, Illinois, who passed away on June 1, 2026, at the age of 76. David will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert G. Swanson and E. Lois Swanson; his in-laws, David R. and Elaine M. Buhrow; and his grandparents, Albert, Edna Miller, Frank and Flora Swanson.

He is survived by: his wife Debbie; his daughters, Erin Lash (Jason) and Brittany Cerwin (Brad); his grandchildren, Aleta, James Lash, Ainsley and Reid Cerwin; his siblings, Kenneth Swanson (Cheryl Bergquist) and Karen Rahmel (Henry Jr.); and his siblings-in-law, Gail Streeter (Dale), Tamara Nilsen (Peter) and Thomas Buhrow (Carolyn). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, dear friends, and neighbors.
