Ikert of East Dundee, Illinois, born in Elgin, Illinois, who passed away on May 28, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Melvin Erlandsen and Vera Erlandsen; her husband John D. "Jack" Ikert; her brother Ronald C. "Pete" Erlandsen; and her son Jeff Ikert.

She is survived by : her children, Jane Theis (John), Jill Shaw (John), Jim Ikert and Julie Bartelt (Steve); her grandchildren, Kelley, Nick Theis (Amanda), Jackson Ikert, Peyton and Riley Bartelt; her great grandchildren, Eva, Ella Mapes and Ben Black; and her siblings-in-law, Diane Reinert (David), David Bartelt, Sally Noverini (Fred) and Darlene Erlandsen. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church.

“Jane, Jill, Julie and Jimmy, I am so sorry to learn of your Mom's passing. She always showed warmth, humor and kindness to each member of the Theis family. The last time I had the chance to visit with her was when we were seated next to each other at Nick's wedding reception and we had a delightful conversation for hours...definitely could be a hoot sometimes! But I know for certain how much she loved each of her daughters, her sons, sons-in-law and grandchildren to the moon and back!”
