It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William G. Stevens of East Galesburg, Illinois, who passed away on July 11, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. As William departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though William may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy William leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gene F. Stevens and Betty L. Stevens (Wilson); and his brother Robert L. Stevens. He is survived by: his wife Christine Cummings of East Galesburg, Illinois; his son Aaron Stevens (Brooke) of Galesburg, Illinois; his grandchildren, Logan and Julian Stevens of Galesburg, Illinois; and his sister Sue L. Jeebe of Galesburg, Illinois..
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Knoxville Bar & Grill (Side Room) (310 E Main St, Knoxville, IL 61448).
