He is survived by: his wife Beverly Cox; his sons, James Brokaw (Sheri) of Taylor Ridge, Rick Brokaw of Buckeye and Tony Brokaw (Deanna) of Elmirage, Arizona; and his sister Opal "Pokie" Zitka (Spence) of Sandwich, Illinois.. He is also survived by several grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Wendt Funeral Home (1811 15th St Pl, Moline, IL 61265). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Rock Island National Cemetery.
