She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Schiess and Viola Schiess (Lock); her son Robert "Rob" Brown; her granddaughter Miranda Brown; her aunt Leona; and her uncle Alfred Dobbles.
She is survived by: her children, Bridget Brown of Erie, IL, Paul "Jake" Brown (Stephanie) of Sterling, IL, Ricky Slaughter (Anna) of Kimball, MN, Andy Slaughter (Marlo Birdsall) of Milan, IL and Violet Torres (Jesse) of Hillsdale, IL; and her siblings, Linda Holden, Beverly Ingle, Dennis Schiess (Donna), Sandra Lawrence and Barbara Goodrich. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Gibson - Bode Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Ltd. - Port Byron (202 N Main St, Port Byron, IL 61275). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Oakwood Cemetery (1060 S Oakwood Ave, Geneseo, IL 61254).
Memorials may be made to Bridget Brown to offset funeral expenses.
