He was predeceased by: his father Albert Horton; and his stepfather Lawrence Van Kampen. He is survived by: his mother Judy Van Kampen (Banks) of Coal Valley, Illinois; his siblings, Patti Anderson of Silvis and David Horton of Coal Valley, Illinois; and his nephews, Jonathan, Zachary and Austin.
