He was predeceased by : his parents, John Schneider and Cornelia Schneider (Kaufman); his wife Sharon Riebling; his grandson Justin Wallace; and his brothers, Harold and Wayne Schneider.

He is survived by : his children, Steve Schneider (Julie), Chris Wessel (Dennis), David Schneider (Debbie), Sandy Walker (Dan) and Jennifer Kaiz (Barrett); his grandchildren, Debbie Volz, Matt Schneider (Taylor), Amanda Lynall (Jeff), Amy Wessel, Austin Wessel, Anthony Wessel, Bryce Sleeter (Brittany), Brandon Schneider, Stephanie Strain (Randy), AJ Walker, Madison Kaiz and Will Kaiz; his sister Martie Meisenheimer; and his siblings-in-law, Connie Schneider and Jerry Riebling (Elaine). He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
