It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sylvia Corbett of East Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on July 19, 2025, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rudolph John and Josephine van Hanxleden; her husband Edward Joseph Corbett; her sons, John Corbett and Jerry Corbett; her brother Hank; her sister-in-law Jan; and her cousins, Barbara McBride, Rich Lucas, Dan Lucas and Sylvia Ramsey.
She is survived by: her children, Judy Sharp (Dave), Jan Corbett (Randy Kiefner), Joanne Corbett, Jim Corbett and Joe Corbett (Cheri). She is also survived by five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Monica Catholic Church (303 Campanile Dr, East Peoria, IL 61611). A Mass was held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Sylvia has chosen to donate her body to science; inurnment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Peoria at a later date.
