With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Derral Gene Redwine Sr. of Eddyville, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 21, 2025 at the age of 89. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Derral may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Redwine and Opal Redwine; his wife Terrie; and his daughter DeeDee Newsome. He is survived by: his children, Dianna Hoopengardner of Davisburg, MI, Nancy Redwine of Youngsville, NC, Nena Sherrod, John David Redwine, Derral Redwine, William Redwine and Lyndol Redwine. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Aly Funeral Home - Eddyville (1099 IL-145, Eddyville, IL 62928). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
