He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Bjerk and Helen Bjerk (Moser); his great grandchild Brennan Bjerk; and his siblings, Joyce Jacobson, Jack and Terry Bjerk.
He is survived by: his children, Nathan Bjerk (Pamela) of Lacon, Sara Johnson (Brett) of Chenoa, Anita Booker (Steven) of Tremont, Ellen Feik (Daniel) of Peoria and Carl Bjerk of Edelstein. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Richard L. Owens Hospice Home or Grace Presbyterian Church.
