He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Ramsey and Lela Winchester Ramsey; his wife Betty Depoister; his sister Doris Weber; and his brothers-in-law, Jack Lanham and Eddie Weber.
He is survived by: his daughter Tammy Ramsey of Edgewood, Illinois; his sister Frieda Lanham of Salem, Illinois; his granddaughter Britany Eckelberry; his great grandchildren, Renesmee, Zechariah and Rhett; and his pet Katie. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A burial was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Iola Cemetery. Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pagel Funeral Home -Edgewood (704 Broad St, Edgewood, IL 62426). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Pagel Funeral Home (704 Broad St, Edgewood, IL 62426).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Effingham Humane Society or the donor's choice.
