With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kenneth L. Tipsword of Edgewood, Illinois, who passed away on September 12, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Kenneth had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Kenneth may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Tipsword and Mary Alice Tipsword (Doty); and his uncle Garry Tipsword. He is survived by: his wife Connie E. Hites of Edgewood; his son Edwin Tipsword (Kayla) of Shelbyville; his siblings, Dennis Tipsword of Spring Bay and Linda Bennett (John) of Kaiser, MO; and his grandchildren, Destiny, Bravery and Carter.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (102 1st Baptist Dr, Altamont, IL 62411). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
