It is with sadness that the passing of Norma Gates of Edinburg, Illinois is shared. Norma, born on January 21, 1935, passed away on July 28, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her former husband Robert Hewitt; her husband Roy S. Gates, Jr.; her sons, Roy Allen Gates and Kenneth Edward Gates; and her grandson Shawn Fortner.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Rose of Edinburg, Larry Wayne Gates, Sr. (Kathy) of Springfield and Mary Ann Price of Taylorville; her grandchildren, Amy Marie, Larry Gates, Jr., Terry Gates, Chrissy Hayes, Cory Lynn Scantlan, Kenny Gates Jr., Missy Fowler, Bryan Knoles, Alisa Brockelsby (Kirt), Timmy Price (Kim), Payton Price (Sophie) and Jacquelynn Lush (Braden); and her half-sister Susan Fishel of Springfield. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
