It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Anthony Traxler of Edwardsville, Illinois, born in Black Creek, Wisconsin, who passed away on September 18, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Mary Traxler (Murphy) and Anton Traxler; and his siblings, Geneva, Rita, Monica, Marian, Patricia, Sally and Joseph.

He is survived by : his wife Patricia Anne Traxler (Horkheimer); his children, Dr. Mary Pat Traxler (David Kopacz) of Seattle, WA, Melanie Traxler (Jeremy Rothenburg) of St. Louis Park, MN, Anthony Traxler (Theresa) of Columbia, IL and Julie Traxler (Nick Heynen) of Madison, WI.; his grandchildren, Benjamin, Layne Traxler, David Rothenburg, Violet and Penelope Heynen; and his sister Vivian Bons (Peter) of Appleton, WI. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

He died peacefully at Meridian Village, surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with Parkinson's disease and COVID.
