Genevieve Varda Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 27, 2025, at the age of 95, Genevieve Varda of Edwardsville, Illinois passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Genevieve Varda to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben Loyet and Ella Loyet; her husband Robert "Gildo" Varda; her children, Joseph Michael Varda and Nancy Ellen Smith; and her siblings, James, Robert Loyet and Virginia Stephens.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Suzanne Varda (Jon Meeth), Michael Hitch and Brittany Hitch; her great grandchildren, Zada, Paige, Miahlee, Kahlani Mae, Elijah and Aileah; her sisters, Helen Graham, Marilyn Catalpa and Nancy Deason; and her sisters-in-law, Juanita Loyet and Carol Loyet. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ss Peter & Paul Catholic Church (207 Vandalia St, Collinsville, IL 62234). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to SS.
