He was predeceased by: his parents, George Willaredt and Lydia Willaredt (Wachter); his wife Joan Thurnau; his siblings, Alvin Willaredt (LaVerne), Harley Willaredt (Wilma), Marie Willaredt and Darlene Schroeder (Joe); his brother-in-law Bill Keller; and his in-laws, Harold Thurnau (Laurine), Lyla Gerstenecker (Dale), Warren Thurnau (Betty), Jeanette Taylor (Louis), Olive Nungessor (Delmar), Cliff Thurnau, Robert Thurnau and Henry Pirok.
He is survived by: his daughters, Pam Heepke (Fred) of Edwardsville, Nancy Kruckeberg (Jerry) of Moro and Jill Bertels (Kerry) of Dorsey; his grandson Jeff Heepke (Marcy); his children, Grace, Emma, Dennis Heepke (Molly), Lucy, Henry, Ross Heepke (Kate) and Brad Kruckeberg (Laura); his grandchildren, Henry, Eleanor and Scarlett; his children, Tim Kruckeberg (Gracie), Oliver, Ruthie and Eric Bertels; his granddaughters, Samantha, Stephanie and Sophia; his children, Kurt Bertels (Karen), Brennan, Miriam, Graham, Liana and Mark Bertels; his close friend Wilma Edwards; his sister Doris Keller; and his sisters-in-law, Eleanor Pirok, Betty Thurnau and Dorothy Thurnau.
