She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles John and Marjorie Ann Szczepanik (Matthias); and her brother Charles "Chuck" Szczepanik. She is survived by: her husband Eric Brandmeyer; her children, Kaitlin Kurilla of Jacksonville, Kelsey Ridpath (Joe) of Edmond, Colleen Kurilla of Edwardsville, Kirstin Kurilla (Mindy Lopez) of Winter Haven, Florida and Caleb Brandmeyer (Rosemary) of Indianapolis, Indiana.; her grandchildren, Aubree Kurilla, Leah Ridpath and Lucas Ridpath; her sisters, Marilyn Baumann (Dave) of Granite City and Ann Sykes (Craig) of Granite City; and her siblings-in-law, Mary Toennies (Leroy) of Bartelso, Jackie Toennies (Pete) of Damiansville, Joyce Nelle (Pat) of Huntsville, Mike Brandmeyer (Donna) of Prairietown, Randy Brandmeyer (Rose) of Shattuc and Stan Brandmeyer (Tracy) of New Baden. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Irwin Chapel of Glen Carbon (591 Glen Crossing Rd, Glen Carbon, IL 62034). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
