It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James F. Michel of Edwardsville, Illinois, born in Evanston, Illinois, who passed away on January 2, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Chester Michel and Cecilia Michel (Nieznanski). He is survived by : his children, Suzanne Lohrum of Edwardsville and Joseph Michel of Litchfield; his grandson Alexander Lohrum; and his siblings, Elizabeth Patton (Richard) of Lancaster, SC, William Michel of Glenwood Springs, CO, Richard Michel (late Stephanie) of Nebo, IL and Pamela Fuller (William) of Edwardsville. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to St. Mary's Catholic Church Building Fund.
