He was predeceased by: his parents, James William and May Ruth Bain (McCarthy); his wife Vicki Lynn Bain; his siblings, Monroe "Sonny" Bain, William "Bill" Bain, Richard Bain, Jerry Bain and Ruth Ann McEntyre; his siblings-in-law, Dennis Hartley (Linda), Lynita Hamby (Dennis) and Terrance Hartley; and his nephew Paul Bender.
He is survived by: his children, Judy Opel (Darl) of Edwardsville, Raymond "Todd" Bain (Carla) of Edwardsville, Mark "Taco" Martin (Paula) of Edwardsville, James "Jim" Bain (Lari) of Edwardsville, Trish Bain (Kerri) of Edwardsville, Katrina Cox (Jeff) of Edwardsville and Karla Bain of Edwardsville; and his sisters-in-law, Connie Sloan (Don), Jannie Hartley and Karen Bain. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Moose International for Moose Heart/Moose Haven.
