He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Bertis McCarty and Bertha McCarty; his son Robert McCarty; and his brother Jim McCarty (Candy) of Vincennes, IN. He is survived by : his wife Carole McCarty; his daughter Erin Estabrook; his daughter-in-law Susan McCarty (Hartoebben) of Festus, MO; his grandchildren, Jessica, Joey and Jadyn of Festus, MO; and his great grandchild Diesel.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Barry Wilson Funeral Home & Cremation Services Ltd. (2800 N Center St, Maryville, IL 62062). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Fairland Cemetery.
