He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald L. Schaake and Evelyn D. Schaake (Sackett). He is survived by: his wife Beverly Schaake (Klueter); his sons, Christopher Schaake (Melissa) of Austin and Collin Schaake of Galesburg; his granddaughter Mackenzie Schaake of Austin, Texas.; his brothers, Dave Schaake (Kathy) of Edwardsville and Mark Schaake (Patti) of Edwardsville; his brother-in-law Jeff Klueter (Tobie) of Chevy Chase; and his nieces and nephews, Kara Schaake Beyers, Jessie Klueter, Brandon Schaake, Jacob Schaake, Kyle Schaake and Sam Klueter.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Edwardsville American Legion Post 199.
