He was predeceased by : his parents, Roy Carson and Jean Carson (Oller); his wife Linda Terry; his sister Patricia Arnold; his brother-in-law Scott Terry; his niece Karen; and his sister Shawn Carson.

He is survived by : his son Michael R. Carson, II; his niece Terri Fincher; his nephew Greg Eubanks; his grandchildren, Matthew, Britini and Brett; his great grandchildren, Luke, Madison, Abby, Cammeron, Payton, Jaxson, Landon, Jace, Bryce, Aubrey, Ian, Lyla and Owen; his sister Pam; and his siblings-in-law, Herb Croxford, Kevin Terry, Stephanie Leffert and Deana Harris.

Memorials may be made to the 5 A's animal shelter.
