He was predeceased by: his parents, Adrian Short and Margaret Short (Morehouse); and his siblings, Jean Potwora, Harold, Jack and Jerry Short.
He is survived by: his wife Kathryn D. Lackey; his children, Jason Hall (Karmin) of Bethalto and Christina Morris; his siblings, Jan Hewitt of Arkansas, Karen Munt and Randee Short; his brother-in-law Walter Potwara of Wood River; and his grandchildren, Tyler, Gavin, Carter, Justice, Hudson, Paxton, Christian, David, Davian and Hayley. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
