He was predeceased by : his parents, Daniel R. Maher and Gertrude M. Maher (Hentrich); his wife Betty Ann Peterson; his son William A. Maher; his granddaughter April Maher; and his siblings, Daniel Maher and Jeanette Droste.
He is survived by : his children, Robert J. Maher of Edwardsville, IL, Benjamin L. Maher (Beth Spindler) of Gleason, WI, Brad A. Maher of Edwardsville, IL, Brent D. Maher of Edwardsville, IL, Barbara E. Latham of Worden, IL and Elizabeth A. Maher of Edwardsville, IL; his grandchildren, Joshua Latham, Jessica Latham, Jennifer Maher, Lauren Shure, Noah Maher and Danielle Maher; his great grandchildren, Olivia, Kaiden, Kenzie, Kennedy, Brodee, Khloe and Oakley; and his sisters, Kathleen Meyers of Wood River, IL and Rose Marie Kochanski of Grafton, IL..
