He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Leleniewski and Sophie Leleniewski (Osowski); and his wife Margaret A. Leleniewski (Botis). He is survived by: his son Richard Mersinger (Lisa) of Edwardsville, IL; his grandchildren, Reese and Max Mersinger of Edwardsville, IL; his siblings, Linda Leleniewski of Granite City, IL and Leonard Leleniewski (Teresa) of Madison, IL; his siblings' children, Bryan Gagich of Granite City, IL, Matthew Leleniewski of Alton, IL and Lauren Gagich of Crystal, MN.; Sharon Gagich.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Boniface Catholic Church (110 N Buchanan St, Edwardsville, IL 62025). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Edwardsville Marching Band Boosters, Main Street Community Center, American Cancer Society, and American Diabetes Association.
