He is survived by: his children, Steven Zimmerman (Megan) of Bethalto, IL, Sarah Zimmerman of Edwardsville, IL and Rachel Mosser (Danny) of Staunton, IL; his grandchildren, Noah, Emily Zimmerman, Anna, Abigail and Samuel Mosser; and his sisters, Barb Schmidt (Paul) of Marble Hill, MO, Shirley Leitner (Mark) of Edwardsville, IL and Brenda Rickman (Bill) of Bloomfield, MO. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family requests memorials to Trinity Lutheran Ministries in Edwardsville or Metro-East Lutheran High School.
