He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Johnson and Joan Johnson (Schafer); his brother Bernard Johnson; his stepfather Jack Collins; and his sister Denise V. Robinson.
He is survived by: his wife Sheryl Johnson (Shields); his children, Jason Kuhn of Nebraska, Lindsay Wasson of Illinois, Adam Hohlfield of Nebraska, Kara Brickett of Texas, Amanda Hales of South Dakota, Melissa Haynes of Nebraska, Scott Tyson of Nebraska and DJ Tyson of Georgia; his stepmother Veda Johnson of Nebraska; and his sister-in-law Helen McGeorge. He is also survived by many other brothers and sisters-in-law; fourteen grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
