He was predeceased by: his parents, John Warren and Helen Mary Carmody (Wickman); and his brother David Carmody. He is survived by: his wife Cathy (Ramatowski); his children, Jack (Julie Carmody), Adam Barr of Edwardsville, Sarah (Michael Brokering) and Matthew (Hailey Carmody); his grandchildren, Jocelynn, Jilliann, Ozaine, Vaeda, George, Tyler, Logan, Parker and Willow; his siblings, Kathy Carmody of O'Fallon, Missouri and Jim; and his sister-in-law Deb Carmody of Belleville. He is also survived by nieces; nephews; other extended family and many dear friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Irwin Chapel of Glen Carbon (591 Glen Crossing Rd, Glen Carbon, IL 62034). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (2606 Washington Ave, Granite City, IL 62040).
Memorials may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association or the American Diabetes Association and may be accepted at the funeral chapel.
