Alice Marie Welton Obituary

We are sad to announce that on May 4, 2025, at the age of 90, Alice Marie Welton of Effingham, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Pippin and Florence Pippin (Shadwell); her husband Glen C. Welton, Sr.; her children, Janet Robey and Mark E. Forrester; her stepchildren, Jack Welton (Leann), Donald "Curly" Welton (Cheryl), Ted Welton (Pat), Gerald Welton, Tom Welton, Mark Welton (Debbie), Glen "Jeep" Welton (Ann) and Joann Welton (Robert); her siblings, Leona Mast, Virginia Elledge, Mary Muntean, Jim Pippin, William Pippin and Robert Pippin; her grandchildren, David Welton, Sunclep Powell and Aaron James Robey; and her nephew Timothy Owens.

She is survived by: her children, Lydia Pearce, Tina Wallace, Betty Goodwin, Cecil Shadwell Jr., Martin Shadwell, Alice M. Workman, Julie Welton, Jeanette Welton, Dwight Welton, Shirley Smith (Donald), Retha Orr (Roger), Edna Smith (Fred) and Harold Welton (Jeanna); and her half-brothers, Kenneth Gerhardt and Wallace Gerhardt. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the family.
