It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cathy Winchester of Effingham, Illinois, who passed away on May 21, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Cathy Winchester to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Billy Joe and Martha Jane Hughes (Walbert); her sister Jane Elizabeth Irion; and her friend Jackie Roley. She is survived by: her husband Rusty Winchester; her sons, Greg Winchester of Nashville, Ryan Winchester of Flora and Jon Winchester of Effingham; her grandchildren, Briah, Justin, Tyler, Payten and Kinley Winchester; her nieces, Amy Shultz of Effingham and Christi McCoy of Effingham; and her close friend Chris Branson of Paris. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations are suggested to the family to assist with final expenses, and these will be accepted through the funeral home.
