He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell D. Murphy and Marilyn L. Murphy (VanDyke). He is survived by: his sons, Michael Murphy (Ashley) of Ballwin and Tyler Murphy (Beth) of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri; and his grandchildren, William Murphy, Harrison Murphy, Isabella Murphy, Loagan Murphy and Miles Murphy. He is also survived by many cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McGriff Funeral Home (825 Chestnut St, Louisville, IL 62858). A memorial service was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Chris D. Murphy Memorial Education Fund for the future education of his grandchildren.
