Colleen Sutton Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Colleen Sutton of Effingham, Illinois. Colleen, born on July 15, 1925, passed away on September 14, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence McGee and Sylvia McGee (Gillespie). She is survived by: her daughters, Susan VanDyke (Monte) and Connie Elliott (Roger); her grandchildren, Kevin VanDyke (Kim), Kyle VanDyke (Athena), Lee Elliott (Latisha) and John Elliott (Stephanie); her great grandchildren, Kody VanDyke (Kylie Nicole), Kylie VanDyke, Klay VanDyke (Emily), Ely VanDyke, Alexis VanDyke, Otto VanDyke, Audrey Elliott, Austin Elliott, Adam Elliott and Easton Elliott; and her great great grandchildren, Tripp, Will, Kip and Kora. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home (1110 N 4th St, Effingham, IL 62401). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Cornerstone Christian Church (3600 S Banker St, Effingham, IL 62401).
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Cornerstone Christian Church or Oil Belt Christian Service Camp.
