He is survived by: his children, Nicholas "Nick" Wernsing and Kaitlyn "Katie" Wernsing; his grandchildren, Liam Wernsing, Bella Newberry and Lincoln Newberry; and his siblings, Scott Wernsing (Jeri) and Jenny Wernsing.
