She is survived by: her children, Kathy VanSant (Ted), Steve Koester (Sandie Culver), Mark Koester (Deb), Jean Fearday (Jeff), Jane Storm (Doug), Karen Flach (Tony), Dan Koester (Norma), Mary Antrim (Dave), Becky Howard (Scott) and Paula McGuire (Tom); her siblings, Carol Higgs (Max), Pat Stock and Weldon Probst (Sharon); and her sister-in-law Karen Probst. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren; 8 step-grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 18 step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home (1110 N 4th St, Effingham, IL 62401). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church (101 E Virginia Ave, Effingham, IL 62401).
