He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph E. McCarty and Ollie D. McCarty (White); his sister Joan Brown (Dick); and his great grandchild Andrew Joseph Durkin. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ruth of Effingham; his daughter Debbie Mosher (Craig) of Effingham; his grandchildren, Catherine Tarr of Effingham, Bert Durkin (Lindsey) of Altamont and Christine Durkin of Altamont; his great grandchildren, Elizabeth Musgrove, Douglas Musgrove, Stormy Durkin, Ivy Durkin, Isaiah Durkin and Jazzy Lingafelter; his great great grandchild Brooklyn Lingafelter; his brother William McCarty (Jan) of Maine; and his siblings-in-law, Richard, Vivian Hiles and Margaret Kirchhoffer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; church family; and friends.
