He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles "Chuck" Eugene Fred and Betty Lou Fred (Kempen); and his brother Mark Fred. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Fred (Foster) of Effingham; his daughter Sara Fred (Jessy Draves) of Effingham; his grandchildren, Freddy and Marley; his daughter Kaylee Loy (Brandon) of Effingham; his grandchildren, Jedsen, Braylee and Jolee; his daughter Jennifer Fred (Connor Greene) of Effingham; his sister Kathy; his brother-in-law John Adams; his brother Todd; and his sister-in-law Jane Fred. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Christ's Church (2511 S Veterans Dr, Effingham, IL 62401). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Oak Ridge Cemetery (1202 E Fayette Ave, Effingham, IL 62401). A reception was held on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 1707 Ave of Mid-America, Effingham, IL 62401.
