He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Katz and Ivanel Katz (Babbs); and his brother Ron Katz. He is survived by: his wife Pat of Effingham; his son Jerry (Cyndee) of Clay City; his grandsons, Nick Katz and Tyler Katz (McKenna); his great grandchildren, Reeve and Miller; his sister Pat Miller; and his brother-in-law Leon Monical (Carol).
Memorial donations may be given to the Effingham County Humane Society or to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
