He was predeceased by : his father Ray W. Burk; and his brother Justin T. Burk. He is survived by : his mother Anna M. Burk (Clouse) of Effingham; his son Kyle of Taunton, MA; and his siblings, Johnny (Margaret) of Dalton, GA, Barbara Mayhew of Effingham and Nancy Reed (Jim) of Springville, UT. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
