He is survived by: his wife Janis McKnelly Butler of Effingham; his children, Robert Butler (Karen) of Grove City, June Butler Depew of Fort Myers, Jerald Butler (Chris) of Flora and Dale Butler (Ann) of Island Grove, Illinois; his grandchildren, Amanda Joseph, Melissa Peterson, Andrew Butler, Brock Butler, Lizzie Butler, Matt Depew and Corey Butler; his great grandchildren, Kelsey Torres, Karli Witt, Lilia Joseph, Ben Butler, Owen Butler, Annabelle Peterson, Calista Peterson, Simon Peterson, Shay Depew and Sloan Depew; and his great great grandchildren, Miles Carrol and Everett Witt.
Memorial donations are suggested to any charity of the donor's choice, and these will be accepted through the funeral home.
