It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Judy J. Bennett of Effingham, Illinois, who passed away on December 7, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie Hilligoss and Mary Hilligoss (Cook); her husband David L. "Dave" Bennett; and her brothers, Kenneth, James and Randy Hilligoss.
She is survived by: her son Jeffery Bennett (Tracy) of St. Joseph; her grandson Nathan Bennett of Monticello; her brother Ben Hilligoss (Marsha) of Chatham; and her sisters-in-law, Kathie Hilligoss of Mattoon, Mary Barb Hilligoss of Humboldt and Rhonda Hilligoss of Charleston.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Centenary United Methodist Church (203 E Grove Ave, Effingham, IL 62401). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
