It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenneth Nyman Cox of Effingham, Illinois, born in Evanston, Illinois, who passed away on October 13, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Cox and Olga Cox (Nyman); his wife Elaine Buzan; his son Thomas Cox; his sisters, Arleen White (LLoyd) and Lorraine Costanzo (Anthony); and his brother-in-law Edward Preis.
He is survived by: his daughter Sandra Fairbairn (Brian); his grandchildren, Valerie Schmitz (Michael) and Leslie Thompson (Shaun); his great grandchildren, Adley Thompson, Sophia and Julia Schmitz; and his sister Elinore Preis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
