He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Buhnerkempe and Agnes Buhnerkempe (Thoele); his wife Lucille Meyer; his parents-in-law, John and Theresa Meyer; his son Lawrence Jr.; his grandson Brian Simmons; his siblings, Laverne Buhnerkempe (Wilma) and Art Buhnerkempe (Pat); and his in-laws, Lawrence Meyer (Eileen), Louis Meyer (Annie), Gene Meyer (Jeanie), John Meyer Jr., Theresa Mae Meinhart (Harold), Fred Meyer (Marilyn), Catherine Thoele (Harold), James J. Meyer and Gerald Meyer (Susie).
He is survived by: his children, Geri Buhnerkempe, Sharon Schumacher (Kevin), Sheila Kuhns (Steven), Bruce Buhnerkempe (Jill), Vicky Simmons (Damon) and Lisa Siemer (Marty); his grandchildren, Stephanie Pape (Patrick), Becky Daughtery (Jared), Jessica Pruemer (Kyle), Brad Kuhns (Fran), Kyle Kuhns (Kerry), Jon Kuhns (Morgan), Ben Kuhns (Shelby), Emily Arndt (Bill), Zoe Buhnerkempe (Kyle Deters), Anna Buhnerkempe (Evan Addis), Andrew Simmons, Nick Simmons (Victoria), Edward Siemer (Iris Malcom), Lauren Siemer (Seth Hinson), Joe Siemer (Claire) and Gus Siemer; and his in-laws, Ann, Virgil Kingery, Joan Meyer and Joyce Koeberlein. He is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and friends.
